When Basarab Teleagă came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Rovine Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Teleagă couldn't finish the play. Olo Uriarte came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rovine Craiova's Alexandru Tudorică. But to his dismay, Alexandru Tudorică quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of Caaguazu booed when Rovine Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Turcescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rovine Craiova's Dorin Arșanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Rovine Craiova from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Tudorică in the 36th minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Olo Uriarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olo Uriarte didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rovine Craiova's Jyrki Saarelainen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jyrki Saarelainen in the 45th minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Olo Uriarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olo Uriarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

With an all-out effort, Rovine Craiova's Olo Uriarte threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexandru Tudorică, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rovine Craiova had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
