Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esequiel Barco in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivan Cuervo made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Curumalán AFC's Alfred Nobel. 20 minutes into the match, Curumalán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Chinto came free, but Lin Mo Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Alvi Boton defense, Esequiel Barco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Veloso. The Alvi Boton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Veloso should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Alejandro Firmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Mo Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Esequiel Barco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Afonso Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the game, Curumalán AFC's Esequiel Barco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Esequiel Barco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonso Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esequiel Barco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Witold Ledochowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curumalán AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Witold Ledochowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esequiel Barco in the 42nd minute of play. Enrique Henry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Lin Mo Hong made a huge save. Afonso Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esequiel Barco in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Curumalán AFC got a corner. Alvi Boton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabriel Milito ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santos Chinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Curumalán AFC's Esequiel Barco made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Curumalán AFC's Esequiel Barco in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Esequiel Barco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Veloso having to make a save. Curumalán AFC's Alfred Nobel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adolfo Cordarrol in the 71 minute of the game. Esequiel Barco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Afonso Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Curumalán AFC's Emmanuel Gigliotti was substituted for Daniel Resende. 79 minutes into the match, Curumalán AFC's Esequiel Barco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Veloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Esequiel Barco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Veloso having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Afonso Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Afonso Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Gigliotti in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Esequiel Barco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonso Veloso. The goal made the score 0-8. When Esequiel Barco in the 89th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Afonso Veloso kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-9 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 91 minutes into the match, Emmanuel Gigliotti notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Alvi Boton's Afonso Veloso. Afonso Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Curumalán AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
