The Riemannian fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Riemannian's Xesc Rallo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Rafael Maria Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Odilón Ayarza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Fernandez. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Holmes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xesc Rallo came free, but Rafael Maria Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Xesc Rallo made a precise shot to the right of Rafael Maria Navarro. Holmes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Xesc Rallo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Maria Navarro having to make a save. Xesc Rallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Maria Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Xesc Rallo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Maria Navarro having to make a save. Victoro Collados received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Severino Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Maria Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beltran Tormes's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xesc Rallo made a kick off. Xesc Rallo took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Maria Navarro. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the game, one of Holmes FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Xesc Rallo might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Maria Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xesc Rallo ran back to his position shaking his head. Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xesc Rallo in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Holmes FC's zone, Xesc Rallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Maria Navarro came out of the goal and Xesc Rallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98thth minute of the game Xesc Rallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
