Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when João Pirani made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Pirani in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Maria Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 3 minutes into the game, Donato Polhemus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vascogoianiense FC the free kick. After 3 played minutes Holmes FC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Polhemus. Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Monteiro in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pirani in the 7th minute of play forced Holmes FC's goalkeeper Rafael Maria Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pirani in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Maria Navarro saved Holmes FC from getting behind. Rafael Maria Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes Holmes FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aírton Sousa who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Vascogoianiense FC's Gilmar Monteiro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rafael Maria Navarro came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani. But to his dismay, João Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 21st minute Matheus Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Maria Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Monteiro in the 25th minute of play forced Holmes FC's goalkeeper Rafael Maria Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Holmes FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Ramon Makaus got free with Nelsinho Leite in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Maria Navarro having to interfere. Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pirani in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Gilmar Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Gugu Tande made the kick off in the second half. Rafael Maria Navarro came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's Gilmar Monteiro. But to his dismay, Gilmar Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, João Pirani put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Maria Navarro. After 62 played minutes João Pirani rounded Holmes FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. The audience was convinced that João Pirani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Maria Navarro was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Vascogoianiense FC's Válbson Pontes was substituted for Edmílson Fernandez. Rafael Maria Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pirani in the 70th minute of the match. Aírton Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Holmes FC from getting a goal against them. With his leg Rafael Maria Navarro managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute Vascogoianiense FC were awarded a corner. Aírton Sousa went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Sidnei Leão managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 83rdth minute of the game João Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Pirani took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Maria Navarro. Rafael Maria Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Monteiro in the 94th minute of play. Vascogoianiense FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
