In the 71st minute, Eduardo Gervaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Lange received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sepp Mainville came out and tried to block the shot, but Humberto Lange slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 75th minute. If Jonas Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Sepp Mainville managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Juniors FC's Humberto Lange fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zelg FC's attentive Jan Giacomozzi managed to snatch the ball when Eduardo Gervaso made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Herz in the 90th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zelg FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wlodzimierz Lepper was slow to take the kick. During this time Juniors FC's players had a chance to rest. Sepp Mainville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
