But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Quinito couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute of the match, Per Åström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nereo Ayala saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 20th minute, Per Åström made a precise shot to the right of Nereo Ayala. ReAl Coholicos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Angelo Fresnos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Baldovino in the 23rd minute of play. Nereo Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Dios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FLAMENGO San Sebastian made a substitution. Caitano Galego replaced Per Åström. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Caitano Galego in the 31st minute. After taking down the ball on FLAMENGO San Sebastian's corner Caitano Galego fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nereo Ayala quite easily take care of the ball. Stepan Petunin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nereo Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by FLAMENGO San Sebastian's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jorge Calixto was slow to take the kick. During this time ReAl Coholicos's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jorge Calixto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Angelo Fresnos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The throw-in from Rogelio Lico in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Damaso Eron. In the 40th minute of the game Atilano Naelio made a throw-in which Baiona Encinas played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Pancho in the 42nd minute of play forced ReAl Coholicos's goalkeeper Nereo Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Atilano Naelio with Baiona Encinas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baiona Encinas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nereo Ayala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Pancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the ReAl Coholicos defense, Emiliano Pancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nereo Ayala. The ReAl Coholicos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nereo Ayala should have stopped the shot. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Louis Japón was substituted for Faruk Nafiz Arman. 66 minutes into the match, ReAl Coholicos's Daniel Baldovino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Fresnos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by FLAMENGO San Sebastian's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jorge Calixto was slow to take the kick. During this time ReAl Coholicos's players had a chance to rest. ReAl Coholicos's Jorge Calixto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Fresnos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Baldovino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Pancho in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Ayala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emiliano Pancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stepan Petunin hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The supporters of FLAMENGO San Sebastian booed when ReAl Coholicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Lico didn't get a good kick on the ball. ReAl Coholicos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
