Cachaça FC's Edvaldo Paraibano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yanick Verschelde in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cachaça FC's Frederico de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederico de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanick Verschelde having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Paraibano threw the ball into play from the sideline. YR Mechelen's Tobias Smidts quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cachaça FC's Cássio da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Smidts in the 15th minute of play. If Nicolae Siclovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yanick Verschelde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolae Siclovan went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Frederico de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanick Verschelde having to interfere. Frederico de Lima hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Cachaça FC got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Custódio. Miguel Van Mechelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Tobias Smidts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YR Mechelen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachaça FC the free kick. After 38 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Smidts. Nicolae Siclovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Yanick Verschelde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Jannick Melkval. 45 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Siclovan came free, but Yanick Verschelde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46thth minute of the game Nicolae Siclovan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Yanick Verschelde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Van Mechelen made a kick off. Yanick Verschelde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Siclovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Nicolae Siclovan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachaça FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 58 minutes into the game, Nicolae Siclovan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Yanick Verschelde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. YR Mechelen's Yanick Verschelde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Siclovan in the 65th minute of play. After 66 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Smidts. Nicolae Siclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute of the match, Frederico de Lima got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yanick Verschelde was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 75 minutes, Leo Van Mechelen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Cachaça FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Leo Van Mechelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. YR Mechelen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Nicolae Siclovan scored to the left of an out of position Yanick Verschelde, making the score, 0-5.
