After 15 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Luís Caeiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Per Tunström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rönnöfors FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Tunström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Rönnöfors FF booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervásio Severiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes, Rönnöfors FF's Sigvard Biörnberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armindo Salgado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rönnöfors FF reached it. After some careless play in the VB-Team defense, Henry Fagerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Salgado. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Salgado should have stopped the shot. After 45 played minutes Rönnöfors FF got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Biörnberg. A collision led to Rönnöfors FF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Wiktor Dahlman hit a great ball. When Álvaro Rezende came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Rezende couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Joaquim de Barros made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, VB-Team's Armindo Salgado got control of the ball when Henry Fagerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VB-Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rönnöfors FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
