Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ciprian Toma started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Toma came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Ireno Peon in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Romania's Gigi Joanță. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Eugen in the 7th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Betzanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Betzanos in the 10th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Aurel Crivoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Romania booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Godin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurel Crivoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Betzanos in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Ciprian Toma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Pesquera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosario Cepa to maneuver through the defense. Jaume Vasquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Aurel Crivoi made a huge save. Hilario Pesquera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciprian Toma's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Rosario Cepa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alex Eugen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ireno Peon made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Romania's Gigi Joanță. Uruguay's Dario Betzanos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Romania booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zemario Quer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Toma came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Betzanos to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciprian Toma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dario Betzanos in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurel Crivoi saved Romania from getting behind. Jaume Vasquez kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Dario Betzanos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurel Crivoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Romania's Gigi Joanță managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ireno Peon in the 59 minute of the game. Uruguay made a substitution. Cordario Vivero replaced Primitivo Grau. Uruguay made a substitution. Estevam Moroño replaced Dario Betzanos. Estevam Moroño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurel Crivoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Estevam Moroño in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurel Crivoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurel Crivoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Estevam Moroño's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Toma in the 80th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciprian Toma struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Hilario Pesquera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romania. Ştefan Iovan got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mihnea Stanca. Romania's Aurel Crivoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estevam Moroño in the 91st minute of play. Ciprian Toma had several of the Uruguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Hilario Pesquera as he didn't even see the shot coming.
