Paraskevas Papandreou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Neagu in the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kumla's zone, Dragoş Lupoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paraskevas Papandreou came out of the goal and Dragoş Lupoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Tobias Åström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kumla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Åström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Galata FC got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Lupoi. Tobias Åström took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisc Vrabie. Francisc Vrabie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Kumla booed when Galata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Macaneață didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Svante Rydberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Francisc Vrabie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisc Vrabie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Åström in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dragoş Lupoi was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Kumla's Francisc Vrabie threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tobias Åström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kumla's Tobias Åström was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Galata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Malte Brummer came free, but Francisc Vrabie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Galata FC's Francisc Vrabie got control of the ball when Tobias Åström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dragoş Lupoi struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Paraskevas Papandreou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galata FC. Paraskevas Papandreou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebiu Neagu's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Eusebiu Neagu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paraskevas Papandreou having to interfere. Ionuț Luțu's late challenge caught a Kumla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionuț Luțu helped the player get up and apologised. Ionuț Luțu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Galata FC defense, Tobias Åström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisc Vrabie. The Galata FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisc Vrabie should have stopped the shot. Francisc Vrabie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Åström's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd match minute, Kumla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Ugla to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Åström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisc Vrabie having to make a save.
