Mihai Dobrica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Lomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Garry Foster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Dobrica having to interfere. Niculae Ivasiuc hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Mihai Dobrica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul Pitts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Paul Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mihai Dobrica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garry Foster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihai Dobrica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Felix Calota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dafiru and the Chelsea Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felix Calota hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Dafiru's goalkeeper Mihai Dobrica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gez Reading. In the 40th minute, Alin Marchiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Paul Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mihai Dobrica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Paul Pitts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Tetley in the 53rd minute of play forced Dafiru's goalkeeper Mihai Dobrica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Dafiru's goal looked a bit too open when John Paul Pitts came free, but Mihai Dobrica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihai Dobrica came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Chelsea Football Club's John Paul Pitts. But to his dismay, John Paul Pitts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If John Paul Pitts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garry Foster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Dobrica having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Garry Foster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Garry Foster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Dobrica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 minutes, Marin Chifu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dafiru and the Chelsea Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marin Chifu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alin Marchiș during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chelsea Football Club's Oliver Fenton was substituted for Spike Sheene. After 85 played minutes Dafiru got a freekick which was hit by Alin Marchiș. In the 88th minute Gez Reading shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Dobrica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Gabrea charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mugur Gabrea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Dafiru getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Mugur Gabrea hit a great ball. Chelsea Football Club's John Paul Pitts got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Dafiru's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Foster came free, but Mihai Dobrica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Chelsea Football Club were the better team. Chelsea Football Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
