When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Svante Rydberg sped through Dafiru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihai Dobrica. 16 minutes into the match, Dafiru's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Åström came free, but Mihai Dobrica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Dafiru's Alin Marchiș made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jack Åström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Kumla's goalkeeper Jack Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mugur Gabrea. After a defensive mix-up in Dafiru's zone, Tobias Åström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihai Dobrica came out of the goal and Tobias Åström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jack Åström acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Șerban Stoiciu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tobias Åström to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Dafiru booed when Kumla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Ahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball.
