After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Rune Hydén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nichifor Moțoc came out of the goal and Rune Hydén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Åkesson came free, but Nichifor Moțoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Magnus Åkesson to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magnus Åkesson in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichifor Moțoc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alf Wassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Nichifor Moțoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantin Graur struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Tommy Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan. If Tiberiu Cordescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nichifor Moțoc didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Själevad RK's Hans Forsberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 93 played minutes Själevad RK got a freekick which was hit by Rune Hydén. Tommy Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Cordescu in the 95th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
