Cserháthaláp AC's István Borbás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Sjöman in the 8th minute of play. Bo Josefsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but István Borbás read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Charles Lund's late challenge caught a Cserháthaláp AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Lund helped the player get up and apologised. Erland Flink missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 22 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the István Borbás right hand side. Jeromos Bodrogi charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeromos Bodrogi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bo Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Borbás having to interfere. The supporters of Cserháthaláp AC booed when Linderöd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikard Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Csaba Veress recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bo Josefsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lajos Tandori fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cserháthaláp AC's protests and gave Lajos Tandori a yellow card for diving instead. After 50 played minutes Cserháthaláp AC got a freekick which was hit by Lajos Tandori. Michel Kellberg's late challenge caught a Cserháthaláp AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Kellberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Linderöd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Kellberg to maneuver through the defense. Verner Sjöman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linderöd's Bo Josefsson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jónás Sárosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Sven-Oskar Asplund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verner Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Borbás having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Csaba Veress managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cserháthaláp AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Csaba Veress was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Oskar Asplund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Verner Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Borbás having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Márton Sinkovits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cserháthaláp AC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Verner Sjöman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linderöd's supporters rose to their feet, but Verner Sjöman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. István Borbás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Bo Josefsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but István Borbás was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Linderöd left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cserháthaláp AC.
