Folke Ahlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Gherasim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Svante Rydberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Costică Gherasim fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Costică Gherasim a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Costică Gherasim got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Milan's goalkeeper Nichifor Moțoc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute Tiberiu Cordescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Ahlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nichifor Moțoc made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Tobias Åström sent off a good shot on target. Nistor Ghioane hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Nichifor Moțoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klas Finnman in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Cazimir Rădescu hit a great ball. Boris Ugla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cazimir Rădescu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Svante Rydberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Moțoc having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Kumla were awarded a corner. Tobias Åström went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Tobias Åström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nichifor Moțoc was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Tobias Åström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nichifor Moțoc came out of the goal and Tobias Åström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiberiu Cordescu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiberiu Cordescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiberiu Cordescu hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. AC Milan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Svante Rydberg scored to the left of an out of position Nichifor Moțoc, making the score, 1-0. Nichifor Moțoc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobias Åström in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Cordescu in the 37th minute of play forced Kumla's goalkeeper Folke Ahlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boris Ugla kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Folke Ahlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Cordescu in the 39th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, one of AC Milan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC Milan. The referee gave Kumla a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tobias Åström, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AC Milan's Nichifor Moțoc. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Åström was the one to do the kick off. Nichifor Moțoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svante Rydberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Nichifor Moțoc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boris Ugla went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Tobias Åström struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Nichifor Moțoc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kumla. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Tiberiu Cordescu took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Folke Ahlgren to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Constantin Graur hit a great ball. AC Milan's Costică Gherasim got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Costică Gherasim off the ground. Costică Gherasim hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Răzvan Bobariu charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Răzvan Bobariu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of AC Milan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kumla:s goal. Nichifor Moțoc had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Tobias Åström's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 80 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Rydberg came free, but Nichifor Moțoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nistor Ghioane hit a great ball. Folke Back received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nichifor Moțoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Svante Rydberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kumla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svante Rydberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Tobias Åström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nichifor Moțoc came out of the goal and Tobias Åström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nichifor Moțoc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Åström's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. When the referee ended the match the Kumla players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
