Morro Grande E.C's Ismael Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Fliz in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute Rene Restu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Fliz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Clóvis Motta fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morro Grande E.C's protests and gave Clóvis Motta a yellow card for diving instead. Clóvis Motta hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Ismael Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Sosa in the 14th minute of play. Florencio Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Florencio Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Rene Restu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Chaves. Morro Grande E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Restu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Diego de Azevedo got a free kick in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's Guaberto Valery broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, Rene Restu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Chaves. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Chaves should have stopped the shot. Reynaldo Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. During the 33rd minute of the match Clóvis Motta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clóvis Motta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Clóvis Motta hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Rene Restu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 42 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Sosa came free, but Ismael Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Morro Grande E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Ismael Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Sosa in the 61st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Santiago Sosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ismael Chaves. That made the score 0-7 in the 65 minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Santiago Sosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ismael Chaves. Santiago Sosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Sosa in the 78th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Ismael Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Chaves made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Santiago Sosa sent off a good shot on target. Eugênio da Costa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Santiago Sosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Chaves. The goal made the score 0-11. Ismael Chaves made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Omar Fliz sent off a good shot on target. Ismael Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Sosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Ismael Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Sosa in the 100th minute. Deportivo Balvanera's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
