The referee ignored Cooperstown's protests and gave Boughera Massi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Boughera Massi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored ASTERAS SYROY FC's protests and gave Charis Samaropoulos a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes ASTERAS SYROY FC got a freekick which was hit by Charis Samaropoulos. 18 minutes into the game, Medjadi Sifi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cooperstown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASTERAS SYROY FC the free kick. A collision led to Cooperstown getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Salim Hemdani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theofanis Krassas in the 40th minute of the match. Salim Hemdani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petros Leontas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Salim Hemdani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petros Leontas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of ASTERAS SYROY FC booed when Cooperstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Medjadi Sifi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, ASTERAS SYROY FC's Petros Leontas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cooperstown's goalkeeper Salim Hemdani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salim Hemdani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 88 in the game by Petros Leontas from a close distance when the talented Salim Hemdani managed to make a qualified save. Cooperstown's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petros Leontas got free with Salim Hemdani in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cooperstown's Salim Hemdani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Cooperstown from getting a goal against them. After 93 played minutes Cooperstown got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Halimi. 96 minutes into the game, Petros Leontas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Salim Hemdani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over ASTERAS SYROY FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cooperstown throughout the match.
