Simbo FC's Gervasio Matei got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodosio Cerda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Eneas in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Backhouse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severiano Bonifaco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Simbo FC's zone, José Antonio Porras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Bonifaco came out of the goal and José Antonio Porras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severiano Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Mosca in the 28th minute of the match. Severiano Bonifaco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemencín Varas went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Silvio Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Plácido Donoso in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Simbo FC's Denis Pitin. The Simbo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gervasio Matei made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gervasio Matei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gervasio Matei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Cerda having to interfere. Simbo FC's Erasmo Nataniel was substituted for Ildefonso Formerio. Teodosio Cerda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Matei, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute, Iker Oskarbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gervasio Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Julian Rameriz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Simbo FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Julian Rameriz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Severiano Bonifaco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Raimundo Backhouse. In the 82nd minute of the game Gerónimo Alonso made a throw-in which Plácido Donoso played forward. After 84 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Jaunti. A hard shot 92 in the game by Raimundo Backhouse from a close distance when the talented Severiano Bonifaco managed to make a qualified save. Simbo FC's players were relieved. If Ermegildo Eneas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
