Ildefonso Formerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Cerezo made a huge save. Severiano Bonifaco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Arsenio Arias fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Severiano Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Machado in the 29th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, 100 Chance's goalkeeper Leopoldo Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gervasio Matei. In the 47th minute Luís Fábio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Bonifaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Simbo FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
