Geraldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Favoretto came free, but Geraldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dudu Madureira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Medeiros. Mathias Favoretto took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geraldo Queiroz. Geraldo Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half MAZER SAF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dudu Madureira to strike the kick off in the second half. When Claudinei Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the MAZER SAF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Vianna couldn't finish the play. Geraldo Queiroz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Héctor Hernández showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. In the 60th minute Mathias Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MAZER SAF's Enéas Ceresso was substituted for Mathias Favoretto. MAZER SAF's Jerônimo Baiano was substituted for Valdo Sampaio. Geraldo Queiroz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Hernández in the 72nd minute of play. MAZER SAF's Héctor Hernández got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Gustavo Recife could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Geraldo Queiroz made a huge save. Geraldo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Vianna in the 90th minute of the match. Geraldo Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Gustavo Recife in the 91st minute. The Rockets fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MAZER SAF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
