In the 45thth minute of the game Arkadiy Pakhomov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos da Bahia Fc's Igor Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cacá Schmidt hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Arkadiy Pakhomov made the kick off in the second half. When Víktor Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos da Bahia Fc's protests and gave Víktor Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, one of Santos da Bahia Fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santos da Bahia Fc.
