César Sena got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Adalberto Hermes. After having played for 8 minutes, Isac Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Tó Madeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Real Scali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Borges to maneuver through the defense. If Adalberto Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. César Sena hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd match minute, Real Scali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Tomás Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Neto came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Tó Madeira's Tomás Gomes. But to his dismay, Tomás Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Tomás Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Tomás Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Anjos hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reinaldo Borba in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raimundo Neto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Real Scali's Raimundo Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Real Scali from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Gomes in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Nogueira in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Tó Madeira's goalkeeper Lucas Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Gomes in the 72nd minute of play. Walmyr Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Lucas Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Dionísio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmyr Bastos went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Tomás Gomes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimundo Neto came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Gomes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 80th minute. César Sena's late challenge caught a FC Tó Madeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Real Scali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Sena to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Afonso Anjos in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Scali's Adhemar Azevedo. 92 minutes into the game, Walmyr Bastos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Lucas Dionísio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 94 minutes, Adhemar Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Scali and the FC Tó Madeira players grew even worse after the yellow card. The FC Tó Madeira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Tó Madeira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
