The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yetkin Sahat charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yetkin Sahat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yetkin Sahat kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Özgür Vecid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Fabricius in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Hull City booed when Eski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samir Ülgenalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Feuerstein made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Yetkin Sahat sent off a good shot on target. Jan Fabricius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Özgür Vecid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Hull City's Jan Fabricius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Özgür Vecid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Şensoy Akağan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuratay Gerdaneri's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but William Feuerstein firmly grabbed it by the left post. Christof Heisenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Özgür Vecid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Eski's Hazım İmroz got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Şensoy Akağan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan Fabricius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özgür Vecid having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eski's goalkeeper Özgür Vecid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jan Fabricius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zekeriya Usberk made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hull City's Christof Heisenberg. If Jan Fabricius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Claude Faehlmann kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. William Feuerstein was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bayezit Adalıoğlu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Fabricius in the 46th minute of play forced Eski's goalkeeper Özgür Vecid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şensoy Akağan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jan Fabricius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hull City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Fabricius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Özgür Vecid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Arda Ozan Erdemli fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eski's protests and gave Arda Ozan Erdemli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Arda Ozan Erdemli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Fabricius in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Özgür Vecid saved Eski from getting behind. If Jan Fabricius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Özgür Vecid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Fabricius in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Hull City getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Yannick Fürstenberg hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Jean-Claude Faehlmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hull City's William Feuerstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şensoy Akağan in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hull City's Yannick Fürstenberg got a free kick in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Yannick Fürstenberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Özgür Vecid was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. When Zekeriya Usberk fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eski's protests and gave Zekeriya Usberk a yellow card for diving instead. 87 minutes into the game, one of Eski:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Özgür Vecid didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yannick Fürstenberg went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Hull City's Yannick Fürstenberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Hull City played a much better game than Eski and deserved their victory. The Eski players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
