Hull City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Fabricius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ásbjørn Djurhuus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bárður Tórgarð received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. William Feuerstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Depil getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Bárður Tórgarð hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ásbjørn Djurhuus was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Yannick Fürstenberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yannick Fürstenberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A collision led to Hull City getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Karlheinz König hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Jákup Mikkelsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Feuerstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karlheinz König recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Christof Heisenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hull City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Depil the free kick. Christof Heisenberg hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Feuerstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikkjal Martin Knudsen to strike the kick off in the second half. William Feuerstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikkjal Martin Knudsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Jákup Mikkelsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Depil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jákup Mikkelsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Suni Samuelsen's late challenge caught a Hull City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Suni Samuelsen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Suni Samuelsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yannick Fürstenberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ásbjørn Djurhuus right hand side. The audience was convinced that Yannick Fürstenberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ásbjørn Djurhuus was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The supporters of Hull City booed when Depil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Tórgarð didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Hull City's Jan Fabricius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ásbjørn Djurhuus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Tonny á Borg put in a rough tackle. Yannick Fürstenberg shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The supporters of Hull City booed when Depil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jákup Mikkelsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hull City fully deserved thier win.
