Casimiro Peruxu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hilario Cisco went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Casimiro Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Inocente, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Danilo Cibran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Bernaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Hilario Cisco scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casimiro Peruxu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Newbery's Danilo Cibran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emilio Bernaldo. That made the score 2-2 after 25 minutes of play. In the 31st minute, Hilario Cisco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpasinche fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Marcial Menendo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Danilo Cibran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Emilio Bernaldo made a huge save. After having played for 38 minutes, Danilo Cibran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jorge Newbery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Cibran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 minutes, Guaberto Iago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jorge Newbery and the Alpasinche players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Jorge Newbery got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Iago. Jesus Handi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casimiro Peruxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Alpasinche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Dalmau to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Alpasinche were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Placido Inocente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Jorge Newbery getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Teo Dino hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Alpasinche defense, Marcial Menendo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Bernaldo. The Alpasinche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilio Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. Marcial Menendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Nunez Pacorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute Marcial Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcial Menendo during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorge Newbery's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
