Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jan Fabricius kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörgen Eðvarsson during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, one of Akkur Flúðum:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Akkur Flúðum. 10 minutes into the match, Akkur Flúðum's goal looked a bit too open when Yannick Fürstenberg came free, but Végeir Geirfinnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Fabricius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Heiðberg Gylfason threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hull City's Laurent Krier quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jan Fabricius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hull City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Fabricius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Végeir Geirfinnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. William Feuerstein was a little too slow when Illugi Ingólfsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Jan Fabricius might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Végeir Geirfinnsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Fabricius ran back to his position shaking his head. Yannick Fürstenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Feuerstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Þorlaugur Kjartansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Yannick Fürstenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Hull City's William Feuerstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Þorlaugur Kjartansson in the 32nd minute of play. Freymundur Finnbogason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but William Feuerstein made a huge save. Jan Fabricius kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Akkur Flúðum were furious when Starri Hásteinsson was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Akkur Flúðum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hull City:s goal. Friðþór Alexandersson charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Friðþór Alexandersson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Akkur Flúðum getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Friðþór Alexandersson hit a great ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper Végeir Geirfinnsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Jan Fabricius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Végeir Geirfinnsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dvalinn Steinsson to make the kick off. A collision led to Akkur Flúðum getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Dvalinn Steinsson hit a great ball. After 66 minutes Hull City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herleifur Baugsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Akkur Flúðum's Herleifur Baugsson to fire away a dangerous shot which William Feuerstein despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jörgen Eðvarsson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Akkur Flúðum's Freymundur Finnbogason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Feuerstein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Yannick Fürstenberg fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hull City's protests and gave Yannick Fürstenberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Yannick Fürstenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Lothar Bartz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan Fabricius did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Végeir Geirfinnsson 92 minutes into the match. Hull City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
