The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bárður Tórgarð might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garry Valentine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bárður Tórgarð ran back to his position shaking his head. The Depil fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Depil's Mikkjal Jónsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Talbot in the 14th minute of play forced Depil's goalkeeper Ásbjørn Djurhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bárður Tórgarð received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Garry Valentine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Wheatmore High School's Damian Lind got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Mikkjal Jónsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wheatmore High School's Garry Valentine was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Wheatmore High School's Damian Lind made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ásbjørn Djurhuus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wendell Walton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ásbjørn Djurhuus firmly grabbed it by the left post. Garry Valentine came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Depil's Mikkjal Jónsson. But to his dismay, Mikkjal Jónsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 34 minutes into the match, Jákup Mikkelsen notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Wheatmore High School's Garry Valentine. Garry Valentine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Wheatmore High School's Damian Lind slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ásbjørn Djurhuus. That made the score 2-3 after 37 minutes of play. A collision led to Wheatmore High School getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Wendell Walton hit a great ball. The supporters of Depil booed when Wheatmore High School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Lind didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Wheatmore High School's Ásbjørn Djurhuus threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damian Lind, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mohammad Moses hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Ásbjørn Djurhuus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Lind in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Depil were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Lind to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Damian Lind made a precise shot to the right of Ásbjørn Djurhuus. Depil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bárður Tórgarð got free with Garry Valentine in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ásbjørn Djurhuus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Sharpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Rein got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jákup Mikkelsen. Sergio Sharpe charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergio Sharpe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Wheatmore High School was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Sharpe to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Aldrich during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Mikkjal Jónsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Depil's Atli Martin Knudsen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Garry Valentine. That made the score 4-4 after 67 minutes of play. Bárður Tórgarð fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garry Valentine having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Wheatmore High School's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkjal Jónsson came free, but Garry Valentine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Depil booed when Wheatmore High School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wendell Walton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Bárður Tórgarð managed to get in a good position for a shot. Depil's supporters rose to their feet, but Bárður Tórgarð was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garry Valentine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garry Valentine made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Jákup Mikkelsen sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Depil's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Sharpe came free, but Ásbjørn Djurhuus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Depil players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wheatmore High School.
