In the 3rd match minute, Jorge Newbery was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Iago to maneuver through the defense. Garry Valentine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Newbery's Enrique Firmo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Garry Valentine. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. After 9 minutes of play, Jorge Newbery's Enrique Firmo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garry Valentine was left in no man's land by his defense there! Garry Valentine was a little too slow when Enrique Firmo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 21st minute, Wendell Walton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Peruxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 23rd minute Marcial Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Valentine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes, Manuel Formerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jorge Newbery and the Wheatmore High School players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Formerio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Scott Farrar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Peruxu having to interfere. Casimiro Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wendell Walton, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Garry Valentine was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teo Dino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 34 minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Enrique Firmo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Garry Valentine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute, Mohammad Moses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Jorge Newbery's Ulises Tavio tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Marcial Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garry Valentine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Cibran in the 42nd minute. After 43 minutes, Sergio Sharpe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wheatmore High School and the Jorge Newbery players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jorge Newbery booed when Wheatmore High School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Sharpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casimiro Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Lind, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Lind made a kick off. Danilo Cibran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Garry Valentine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Farrar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Manuel Formerio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. Manuel Formerio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Wheatmore High School got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Moses. In the 61st minute, Danilo Cibran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jorge Newbery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Enrique Firmo's late challenge caught a Wheatmore High School's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Firmo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jorge Newbery getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Enrique Firmo hit a great ball. When Damian Lind came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Wheatmore High School fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Lind couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Sergio Sharpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sergio Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Jorge Newbery players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
