Niceto Izel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Feuerstein having to make a save. Niceto Izel might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Feuerstein. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Izel ran back to his position shaking his head. William Feuerstein made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Niceto Izel sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Niceto Izel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Feuerstein was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Niceto Izel got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but William Feuerstein handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Isac Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Niceto Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Jean-Claude Faehlmann in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Tó Madeira's Marcelo Brito. William Feuerstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Izel in the 27th minute of play. Lucas Dionísio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christof Heisenberg's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes in the game Jean-Claude Faehlmann did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lothar Bartz. In the 38th minute, Isac Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Kemmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Hull City booed when FC Tó Madeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Elequemedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Fabricius, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niceto Izel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christof Heisenberg got a throw-in 70 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lothar Bartz. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Hélder Nogueira put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of FC Tó Madeira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hull City:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Elequemedo in the 80th minute of play forced Hull City's goalkeeper William Feuerstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Eulalio Elequemedo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of William Feuerstein. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karlheinz König in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Dionísio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The FC Tó Madeira support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
