Mazhar Ismail received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lucas Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Tó Madeira's attentive Isac Matias managed to snatch the ball when Samy Hakeem made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. After 20 played minutes FC Tó Madeira got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Izel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Elequemedo in the 24th minute of play forced Bolton Wanderers's goalkeeper Khalil Besheer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Bolton Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazhar Ismail to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazhar Ismail in the 26th minute of play. Marcelo Brito made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Manuel Matos immediately put the ball in play. When Niceto Izel came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the FC Tó Madeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Izel couldn't finish the play. Khalil Besheer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Elequemedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Niceto Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khalil Besheer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niceto Izel went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Elequemedo in the 40th minute of play forced Bolton Wanderers's goalkeeper Khalil Besheer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Dionísio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Farouk Gameel in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tó Madeira's zone, Abdel Wahab Fadel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Dionísio came out of the goal and Abdel Wahab Fadel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 minutes, Fernando Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Tó Madeira and the Bolton Wanderers players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Tó Madeira getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Fernando Cunha hit a great ball. Eulalio Elequemedo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Mazhar Ismail made the kick off in the second half. FC Tó Madeira's Lucas Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdel Wahab Fadel in the 56th minute of play. Ibrahim Emam made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Tó Madeira's Marcelo Brito. A collision led to Bolton Wanderers getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Samy Hakeem hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Bolton Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Matias came free, but Khalil Besheer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eulalio Elequemedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Hélder Nogueira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lucas Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ibrahim Emam in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Tó Madeira's Fernando Cunha got a free kick in the 91st minute. Mazhar Ismail struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Lucas Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolton Wanderers. Hélder Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bolton Wanderers booed when FC Tó Madeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Tó Madeira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
