When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Sidónio Peralta put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gaser Mido. In the 18th minute Sidónio Peralta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaser Mido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fábio Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bigam's Gaser Mido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Bigam from getting a goal against them. António Correia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Vera Cruz's zone, Hanafy Abdel Masoud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Correia came out of the goal and Hanafy Abdel Masoud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 minutes, Sidónio Peralta made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bigam's Gaser Mido tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vera Cruz's António Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akram El-Saeed in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Bigam booed when Vera Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Moutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Adolfo Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidónio Peralta to make the kick off. When Taimour Sameeh fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bigam's protests and gave Taimour Sameeh a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Bigam:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vera Cruz:s goal. Bigam:s Gaser Mido showed great skill when he stopped Joel Severiano:s penalty. The supporters of Vera Cruz booed when Bigam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aebeed Taher didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bigam's Aebeed Taher got a free kick in the 57th minute. Sidónio Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaser Mido having to interfere. Akram El-Saeed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. António Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Álvaro Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Bigam's Aebeed Taher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Sidónio Peralta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Vera Cruz's Adriano Serpa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Adriano Serpa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vera Cruz protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adriano Serpa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
