Placido Inocente started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Enrique Firmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hilario Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Peruxu having to interfere. Enrique Firmo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 23rd minute when Danilo Cibran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jorge Newbery's Casimiro Peruxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Inocente in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Danilo Cibran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Bernaldo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Emilio Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Cibran, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Jorge Newbery's Casimiro Peruxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Jorge Newbery from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Jorge Newbery's Marcial Menendo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Danilo Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Bernaldo having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Jorge Newbery's Danilo Cibran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilio Bernaldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Alpasinche players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jorge Newbery were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Menendo to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Jorge Newbery's Marcial Menendo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emilio Bernaldo. Emilio Bernaldo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Placido Inocente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Peruxu having to interfere. Placido Inocente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hilario Cisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Casimiro Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Teo Dino fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jorge Newbery's protests and gave Teo Dino a yellow card for diving instead. Hilario Cisco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teo Dino got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Danilo Cibran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilio Bernaldo having to make a save. When Placido Inocente came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Alpasinche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Inocente couldn't finish the play. Emilio Bernaldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Cibran in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Alpasinche's goalkeeper Emilio Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danilo Cibran. Emilio Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Danilo Cibran sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jorge Newbery eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
