Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jan Fabricius kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes in the game Heiðberg Gylfason did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Freymundur Finnbogason. 7 minutes into the game, Þorlaugur Kjartansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akkur Flúðum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hull City the free kick. In the 13th minute, Hull City's Jan Fabricius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Hull City's Darius Kemmer got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yannick Fürstenberg struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hull City. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannick Fürstenberg in the 22nd minute of play forced Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper Végeir Geirfinnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Jan Fabricius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Végeir Geirfinnsson. Jan Fabricius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Yannick Fürstenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hull City's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannick Fürstenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Végeir Geirfinnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Hull City's goal looked a bit too open when Dvalinn Steinsson came free, but William Feuerstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Fabricius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Heiðberg Gylfason was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 40th minute, Heiðberg Gylfason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Yannick Fürstenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hull City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yannick Fürstenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yannick Fürstenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dvalinn Steinsson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Illugi Ingólfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th match minute, Hull City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Kemmer to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Jörgen Eðvarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yannick Fürstenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Fabricius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dvalinn Steinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. After 80 minutes of play, Hull City's Jan Fabricius made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Végeir Geirfinnsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Yannick Fürstenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 94th minute of the match Heiðberg Gylfason completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Heiðberg Gylfason a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hull City made a substitution. Ludwig Ganzfried replaced Karlheinz König. The supporters of Hull City booed when Akkur Flúðum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiðberg Gylfason didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Hull City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
