In the 21st minute, Niceto Izel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Tó Madeira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, FC Tó Madeira's Niceto Izel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. António Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Izel in the 92nd minute of play. After 95 played minutes Vera Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Morais. When the match was over FC Tó Madeira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vera Cruz throughout the match.
