In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Scali fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Raimundo Neto, was totally fooled by Jorge Newbery's Ulises Tavio, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nunez Pacorro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Real Scali's Nilton Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Real Scali getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nicolas Meireles hit a great ball. Raimundo Neto made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Danilo Cibran sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Newbery's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Hermes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Adalberto Hermes sped through Jorge Newbery's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casimiro Peruxu. The supporters of Jorge Newbery booed when Real Scali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Jorge Newbery players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Scali were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalberto Hermes was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Marcial Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adalberto Hermes in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Peruxu saved Jorge Newbery from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Hermes in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casimiro Peruxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casimiro Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Hermes in the 60th minute of play. Adalberto Hermes struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Real Scali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Jorge Newbery's Casimiro Peruxu got control of the ball when Nilton Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Nilton Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Scali's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casimiro Peruxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Adalberto Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Newbery's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Adalberto Hermes scored to the left of an out of position Casimiro Peruxu, making the score, 2-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Nicolas Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Scali's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casimiro Peruxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nilton Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Peruxu having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Adalberto Hermes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Casimiro Peruxu. Adalberto Hermes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. After 95 played minutes Jorge Newbery got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Tavio. Adalberto Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
