Illugi Ingólfsson took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ásbjørn Djurhuus. Ásbjørn Djurhuus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Depil. A collision led to Akkur Flúðum getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Friðþór Alexandersson hit a great ball. With his leg Végeir Geirfinnsson managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Depil's Mikkjal Martin Knudsen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22nd minute, Dvalinn Steinsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Akkur Flúðum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Depil getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tonny á Borg hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Suni Samuelsen during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Akkur Flúðum booed when Depil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suni Samuelsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dvalinn Steinsson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Végeir Geirfinnsson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bárður Tórgarð. Végeir Geirfinnsson came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Depil's Jákup Mikkelsen. But to his dismay, Jákup Mikkelsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ásbjørn Djurhuus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Illugi Ingólfsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the Depil defense, Dvalinn Steinsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ásbjørn Djurhuus. The Depil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ásbjørn Djurhuus should have stopped the shot. After the first half Akkur Flúðum were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jákup Mikkelsen in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Végeir Geirfinnsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 played minutes Depil got a freekick which was hit by Suni Samuelsen. In the 68th minute of the match, Freymundur Finnbogason got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ásbjørn Djurhuus was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ásbjørn Djurhuus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Þorlaugur Kjartansson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 72 minute of play. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Végeir Geirfinnsson. Végeir Geirfinnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Depil's Ásbjørn Djurhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Illugi Ingólfsson in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Depil getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jákup Mikkelsen hit a great ball. Ásbjørn Djurhuus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Þorlaugur Kjartansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Þorlaugur Kjartansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ásbjørn Djurhuus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Depil's Ásbjørn Djurhuus got control of the ball when Freymundur Finnbogason tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Depil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Akkur Flúðum were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
