The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matt Doughty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matt Doughty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Facundo Nazario in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Trevor Gould's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Krum Nikolchov was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. A collision led to Bangladesh getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Patrick Crane hit a great ball. Bangladesh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Facundo Nazario scored to the left of an out of position Matt Doughty, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Gould in the 23rd minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Krum Nikolchov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bangladesh's Nigel Burkinshaw quite brazenly broke a throw-in by 冰谷 航母, made in the 25th minute of the game. After 40 minutes of play, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Zdzislaw Obuchowicz made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matt Doughty was left in no man's land by his defense there! Krum Nikolchov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Godfrey in the 43rd minute of play. Facundo Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Matt Doughty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirk Godfrey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Bangladesh got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Burkinshaw. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Godfrey in the 52nd minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Krum Nikolchov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bangladesh booed when Lokomotiv Plovdiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordi Alba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Bangladesh defense, Facundo Nazario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matt Doughty. The Bangladesh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matt Doughty should have stopped the shot. Matt Doughty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trevor Gould fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krum Nikolchov having to interfere. Nigel Burkinshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The Lokomotiv Plovdiv players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
