Hélio O'Connell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Playa Malvín. Playa Malvín were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Maritek FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stelian Murgu took the corner. 14 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's Gong Qi Fan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélio O'Connell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Michael Guisla. Hélio O'Connell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Qi Fan in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Ferruccio Zarillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Elmhuus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes, Stelian Murgu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Playa Malvín and the Maritek FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maritek FC made a substitution. Dario Pedroni replaced Eli Mariani. In the 24th minute, Stelian Murgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Maritek FC defense, Gong Qi Fan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélio O'Connell. The Maritek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélio O'Connell should have stopped the shot. Hélio O'Connell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Qi Fan in the 30th minute of the match. Playa Malvín's Joel Wigghers managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Filippo Lucente in the 38 minute of the game. When Playa Malvín's Gong Qi Fan in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maritek FC's goalie prevented a goal. Nils Elmhuus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Santo in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Playa Malvín getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jabier Igual hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Maritek FC's Nils Elmhuus threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ettore Santo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gong Qi Fan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Jabier Igual got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Playa Malvín's Nils Elmhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Santo in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maritek FC's zone, Alvise Catapano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélio O'Connell came out of the goal and Alvise Catapano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Gong Qi Fan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio O'Connell was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Playa Malvín made a substitution. Quinto Ampudia replaced Gong Qi Fan. Playa Malvín's Sandu Mândrilă was substituted for Jabier Igual. If Ettore Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maritek FC's Tomás Moita was substituted for Ferruccio Zarillo. Hélio O'Connell came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia. But to his dismay, Quinto Ampudia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ettore Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils Elmhuus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Santo came free, but Nils Elmhuus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Elmhuus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Moita in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 88th minute Tomás Moita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Elmhuus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goalkeeper Hélio O'Connell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quinto Ampudia. 90 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Sandu Mândrilă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Playa Malvín's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
