The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Peru's Enrique Cassaretto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peru's Paul Ramon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Chirilă in the 16th minute of play. Cazimir Angelescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Regis Padriña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Hayalim Kedoshim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fe Nestares took the corner. Cazimir Angelescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dawid Beninda in the 33rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Paul Ramon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Peru made a substitution. Xuaco Oñaederra replaced Enrique Cassaretto. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xuaco Oñaederra to strike the kick off in the second half. Hayalim Kedoshim's Laurențiu Pora was substituted for Gelu Chirilă. Hayalim Kedoshim's Johny Konings was substituted for Dawid Beninda. The audience was convinced that Laurențiu Pora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Ramon was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurențiu Pora in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Ramon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paul Ramon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Pora in the 93rd minute of the match. Carlos Puyol kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
