The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jósef Wandzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Hudák in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Ghost Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Ghost Hunters were awarded a corner. Jan-Åke Melander went to the cornerflag to take it. Ghost Hunters's Jan-Åke Melander was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adam Hrdina in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michal Hudák to strike the kick off in the second half. With a left leg Jósef Wandzik saved Ghost Hunters from getting behind. 66 minutes into the game, Doriva Sousa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adam Hrdina. Doriva Sousa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Jósef Wandzik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Sousa. Vernon De Marco got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Richard Zedník. Jósef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Krstović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jósef Wandzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balázs Borbély in the 84th minute of play. Nikola Krstović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jósef Wandzik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Doriva Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Krstović in the 96th minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Jósef Wandzik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ghost Hunters's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
