Heigo Luiga started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Hudák got free with Ciriaco Macias in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciriaco Macias was a little too slow when Michal Hudák got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 7th minute, Michal Hudák made a precise shot to the right of Ciriaco Macias. C.A.Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Hudák got free with Ciriaco Macias in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Basajaun in the 15th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michal Hudák. 40 minutes into the game, Michal Hudák cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ciriaco Macias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Cristo Basajaun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adam Hrdina. The goal made the score 3-2. After 72 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Adam Obert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Hudák in the 74th minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Hudák came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Michal Hudák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Michal Hudák left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 92nd match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Seno to maneuver through the defense. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Rosas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.A.Independiente players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AFK Petržalka.
