The corner led CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto to fire away a dangerous shot which Maurino Serena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. CD Municipal's George Forsyth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save CD Municipal from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurino Serena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Enrique Cassaretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurino Serena was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, A.D. Alcorcón's Delmar Mayor got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 29th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Bacete in the 30th minute of play. Enrique Cassaretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Maurino Serena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 46th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 48th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Belo Alvarez to strike the kick off in the second half. If Edelmiro Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurino Serena came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto. But to his dismay, Enrique Cassaretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A.D. Alcorcón made a substitution. Eriz Acha replaced Natxo Cacheres. Manolo Bacete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Forsyth having to interfere. CD Municipal made a substitution. Tulio Andinyach replaced Evtim Kúrdzhev. Enrique Cassaretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurino Serena having to make a save. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 69th minute of play. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Vadillos, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 77 minutes into the game, Enrique Cassaretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Maurino Serena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save A.D. Alcorcón from getting a goal against them.
