Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.C. Mijatović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of B O B I S A booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to B O B I S A getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Silvio Pfeifer hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Pfeifer came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. B O B I S A's Ralph Sanger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save B O B I S A from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 34th minute of play forced B O B I S A's goalkeeper Ralph Sanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Goicoechea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Ralph Sanger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 38 minutes B O B I S A's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciro Ferdinand who took care of the corner kick. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christophe Mehri in the 39th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arndt Moschen in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Christophe Mehri made the kick off in the second half. Ralph Sanger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Erramu in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, B O B I S A's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Ralph Sanger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Sanger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Chiriac blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralph Sanger having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 61st minute of play forced B O B I S A's goalkeeper Ralph Sanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralph Sanger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 64th minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Eustaquio Jaizki replaced Mugur Chiriac. In the 76th minute B O B I S A were awarded a corner. Rolf Affentranger went to the cornerflag to take it. Rolf Affentranger made a great header on B O B I S A's corner, it was just that Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski managed to reach the ball for a save. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christophe Mehri in the 78th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as B O B I S A's Christophe Mehri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pankracy Glogowski. That made the score 1-2 after 78 minutes of play. Ralph Sanger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético Atlanta fully deserved thier win.
