The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Deivid de Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Toribio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodrigo Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Blagovest Deykov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jardel Sanches, passed just outside the right post. 8 minutes into the game, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Toribio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Los Guacho Pistola's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Karapatakis came free, but Rodrigo Toribio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladan Leszczynski in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Toribio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 20th minute of play forced Los Guacho Pistola's goalkeeper Rodrigo Toribio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blagovest Deykov got free with Jardel Sanches in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jardel Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theocharis Vrachos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rodrigo Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiph Biörling, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Filiph Biörling hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Los Guacho Pistola's Theocharis Vrachos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Los Guacho Pistola's zone, Alberto Estevon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Toribio came out of the goal and Alberto Estevon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Vladan Leszczynski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jardel Sanches. The goal made the score 2-1. Rodrigo Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pipis Karapatakis to make the kick off. Pipis Karapatakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pipis Karapatakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Toribio was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Liu Yi Li with 叶默卫 as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rodrigo Toribio came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis. But to his dismay, Pipis Karapatakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 63 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Vladan Leszczynski came free, but Jardel Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Los Guacho Pistola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liu Yi Li to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Toribio was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Pipis Karapatakis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pipis Karapatakis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 70 minutes into the game, Pipis Karapatakis lined in a short shot 2-4 behind a frustrated Rodrigo Toribio. Vladan Leszczynski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Sanches having to interfere. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Libertad in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Pipis Karapatakis lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Rodrigo Toribio. Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pipis Karapatakis struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rodrigo Toribio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio FBPA. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pipis Karapatakis in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Toribio saved Los Guacho Pistola from getting behind. With a little luck, Los Guacho Pistola's Rodrigo Toribio got control of the ball when Pipis Karapatakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Vladan Leszczynski came free, but Jardel Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Los Guacho Pistola supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio FBPA's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio FBPA.
