The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 15 minutes, Lázaro Cuartio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the 19 Mayıs Belediyespor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Cuartio. Thoyib Alatas made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Alfonso Goicoechea sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Mattias Naba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Naba in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Mattias Naba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thoyib Alatas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Caradaro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Fahri Balaban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Naba's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of 19 Mayıs Belediyespor booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position.
