Pipis Karapatakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thoyib Alatas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Pipis Karapatakis notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of 19 Mayıs Belediyespor's Thoyib Alatas. Thoyib Alatas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thoyib Alatas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pipis Karapatakis scored 0-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thoyib Alatas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches got control of the ball when Ricardo Bochini tried to sneak it across the goal line. The 19 Mayıs Belediyespor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio FBPA were winning 0-4.
