But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taras Romanchuk couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Fabian Lucescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taras Romanchuk kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A very good chance for a goal. Fabian Lucescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taras Romanchuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Yao Bin Yun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornel Bogrea went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Marius Geamănu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Wesly Goemyne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Fundação Marques dos Reis's Taras Romanchuk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Lucescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Taras Romanchuk might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Lucescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taras Romanchuk ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taras Romanchuk in the 40th minute of play forced Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Fabian Lucescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Taras Romanchuk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fabian Lucescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Taras Romanchuk got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radu Borza to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabian Lucescu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alexandre Pacheco sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taras Romanchuk got free with Fabian Lucescu in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Yao Bin Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Bogrea in the 57th minute of play. Taras Romanchuk struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Fabian Lucescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fundação Marques dos Reis. In the 63rd minute, Fundação Marques dos Reis's Taras Romanchuk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabian Lucescu. Fabian Lucescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Chevaliers FC's Fabian Lucescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Chevaliers FC from getting a goal against them. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Yao Bin Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Borza in the 69th minute of play. Fabian Lucescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Viveiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Lucescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taras Romanchuk's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Chevaliers FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Taras Romanchuk scored to the left of an out of position Fabian Lucescu, making the score, 1-3. Fabian Lucescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Taras Romanchuk went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Taras Romanchuk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabian Lucescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Taras Romanchuk slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 86th minute. Taras Romanchuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Juninho Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Lucescu made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Diogo Cabral sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Diogo Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Lucescu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Fundação Marques dos Reis's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
