No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Seve Dobale made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Atlético Ourense got a corner. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrico Carmona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Enrico Carmona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olo Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Basilio Soler was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Redondo couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.D. Ciudad de Soria fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético Ourense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
