Franco Verdeja came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Teodoro Zamora. But to his dismay, Teodoro Zamora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Barrientos in the 14th minute of play forced C.D. Ciudad de Soria's goalkeeper Olo Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Verdeja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, MI EQUIPO's Ofelio Dobale got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 43rd minute Martin Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Verdeja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Policarpio Palomares's late challenge caught a C.D. Ciudad de Soria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Policarpio Palomares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, MI EQUIPO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Policarpio Palomares to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Zamora got free with Franco Verdeja in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
