Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Thiago Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's Guilherme Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otávio Massa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Veloso in the 7th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Gigio Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte de Castro. Danone CC's Otávio Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Danone CC from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Motta. After some careless play in the Danone CC defense, Guilherme Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otávio Massa. The Danone CC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otávio Massa should have stopped the shot. Otávio Massa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guilherme Souza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 24 minute of play. The U21 Brazil fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when U21 Brazil's Guilherme Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Cyprian Grajewski fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Danone CC's protests and gave Cyprian Grajewski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cyprian Grajewski hit a great ball. Otávio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Cyprian Grajewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Danone CC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Otávio Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duarte de Castro in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Jairo Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigio Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Souza came free, but Otávio Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Clemente Recife hit a great ball. Szczepan Mosiniak was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szczepan Mosiniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guilherme Souza in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otávio Massa saved Danone CC from getting behind. U21 Brazil were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Danone CC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thiago Motta took the corner. Thiago Motta made a great header on U21 Brazil's corner, it was just that Danone CC's Otávio Massa managed to reach the ball for a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cyprian Grajewski to strike the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Souza struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Otávio Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Brazil. Otávio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Souza in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otávio Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Guilherme Souza came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the U21 Brazil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Souza couldn't finish the play. U21 Brazil's Elói Alcântara was substituted for Guilherme Souza. The audience was convinced that Elói Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otávio Massa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danone CC's Zeca Meirelles was substituted for Dinei de Medeiros. The supporters of Danone CC booed when U21 Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Cannavaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Silva got free with Gigio Buffon in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 97 minutes into the match, Elói Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Massa. Danone CC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elói Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Brazil fans cheered their team off the field, for while Danone CC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
